About a year after my first visit to that park I heard they did a full moon rising event. I asked Amanda if she wanted to take her boys out there to hear about the full moon and watch it come up over the water. The night we decided to go was very cloudy so we didn’t get the full experience but I would go again to see what it’s like. It was very informative but I fear it was a bit boring for the boys, and I think for their mother too. We didn’t want the night to go to waste so we hopped in the back of the van, laid out a blanket, opened the back a little bit, and had a picnic. By the time we were done eating the sky cleared and we were able to see the full moon light up the ocean. It was brilliant.
