I went to St. Andrews towards the middle of the day on Memorial Day Weekend. I know it was going to be busy but I did not think it was going to take me over 30 minutes to get in! I had no interest in swimming or lounging at the beach but everyone else did. The line to get to the parking lot moved slowly.  I stopped on the side of the road to enjoy all of the variety of scenes nature provided. I took Casey to Gator Lake but I got nervous a few steps in and headed back to the car. I just know how much gators love little puppies and I was not in the mood to fight for her life (and probably lose).

I drove passed the full parking lots and over to the sand dunes in search of just one spot to park my car, but good luck was not on my side. I should have just stayed in that spot on the side of the road and walked to the beach. Every parking spot was full and every inch of the beach was occupied. I admired the sand dunes out of my driver’s side window and then headed towards the exit. People were everywhere and none looked like they were packing up any time soon.
