Florida state parks close at sunset and when we arrived at Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park, it was close to sunset. The park ranger made sure we knew the park was closing soon, multiple time. We rushed over to take a walk around the ruins but still took our time to read the plaques that were all around the grounds.
I had previously visited the Sugar Plantation ruins once before but that second time still amazed me. I am in awe of the beauty, the story, and the history. To see massive structures built in times where the tools were a bit more primitive and the materials were what nature provided was just really awesome.
I am happy this has been preserved for us and future generations to see and appreciate. Oh, don’t worry, we made it out of there before the sun set for the day.
