When State Parking, I would look at the map and try to find a group of parks I could visit in one day. I was in the middle of the state so I picked the farthest park first and then worked my way back. Lake-June-in-Winter Scrub was my last park of the day.

The park was not that big so I was excited to see as much of it as I could with the time that I had. My plan was to watch the sunset by the water once I completed my short hike. I got out of my car and was distracted immediately by the lake. I was staring off into the distance when I received  a text from Courtney, my daughter, that she was going to the hospital. It seems as if baby Bellamy was getting ready to make her debut!

One of the main lessons I learned while State Parking was plans change, fast. I have not always been the most flexible person so this is a hard lesson that has been learned over & over. When it came to that moment, I was in the car in the blink of an eye. I was almost 3 hours away but the labor was slow. I dropped Casey at my moms and headed to Ocoee to keep my Punkin’ company while I awaited the birth of my new granddaughter!
