When I arrived at ranger’s station at Tomoka State Park, I was a little distressed. It seems as if I had lost my annual pass before I even used it once. I could have just paid the admission but I didn’t want to, I bought that darn pass for a reason. I told the ranger my sob story of my lost pass and he assured me that if I go back to Blue Spring the ranger there should be able to re-issue me another one. He quizzed me on how much I paid for my pass, and I must have given him the correct answer, he graciously gave me entrance into the park.

It was a nice and quiet park to visit. I wandered down by the water and looked around the grounds. I was excited to see a gopher tortoise hole, that was my first time seeing one. I really enjoyed my time there. It was so calming that it made me forget all about the way I was feeling before I arrived.
