SO I am exactly evolved as a human. I mean art in lost on me and history is interesting, enough. A lot of the state parks are amazing because they are preserving the states history. Most of those parks, like art, is lost on me as well. Lake Jackson Mounds was one of those parks. The park was very nice and Casey and I wandered around, reading about the history it was preserving.

I am not saying that all mounds are the same but after visiting the first ones earlier in my journey, the rest have been similar in many ways. Don’t get me wrong, they are still amazing and the stories are fascinating but let’s face it, a mound of old food debris and whatnot is a mound of old debris! Casey and I climbed up to the top of both of the mounds that were accessible to us and then ventured off to our next set of parks.

Before you visit, make sure you check out the parks website for all of the up-to-date park information: https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/lake-jackson-mounds-archaeological-state-park
