When I arrived at Weeki Wachee I was greeted by a pleasant woman with bad news. I just missed the sirens (the original mermaids). They were there for one show and I missed them by about 30 minutes, Bummer! That was ok, I knew the parks beauty would make up for it.
I made my way around the park, looking at peacocks and taking pictures of mermaids hiding in the bushes and the landscape. I made it to the last reptile show right on time to see a very interesting woman tell us all about reptiles in Florida. I then caught the last mermaid show of the day, the Little Mermaid.
After the show there was only one more thing to do, a boat tour. The first mate was just a strange bird but very fitting for the park and the ride was beautiful and peaceful. I will say the Captain really knew how to maneuver that boat. She was pretty amazing. When we got to the dock I sat there, letting everyone else get off the boat, reflecting on my day exploring such a nice park.
