I wasn’t sure what to expect at the Skyway Fishing Pier. I figured I would drive to the bridge, maybe walk around a little & be on my way. It turned our to be  a pretty cool spot because it was the old connector bridge that was now turned into fishing piers. I was a little thrown off when I got to the entrance & was asked to pay the fee. I showed the attendant my annual pass & she said it didn’t work for that place. I just shrugged my shoulders, paid the fee & moved on.

I spent a good amount of time there, watching the people fish and wade in the water. There were families there enjoying the shore & couples taking walks. The weather was perfect and my mind needed cleansing. I really enjoyed my time there and gained a strong appreciation for people’s passion for fishing. What a calming and peaceful experience.
