Upon my arrival, I immediately realized San Felasco Hammock was for hiking. I will admit, I hesitated a little bit at the thought of hiking alone in the woods when the sun was going to set soon but I sucked it up and started the mile hike. Now you may not think a mile is very long, but I am pretty sure that was the first time I was going to attempt that long of a hike, alone.
It was a very nice walk with really cool trees to see and even a little stream. The setting sun caused a unique glow through the Hardwood forest that captivated me. The darker it got the faster I walked until I reached the end. I honestly enjoyed that hike.
I am still wondering just how much of this hiking thing I really like though. I feel like I have to be heavily rewarded with an amazing view at the end in order for me to actually enjoy it. Then sometimes I am disappointed because I then have to hike back. We will see if this will change as time goes on. Hopefully I will learn how to enjoy the journey to the destination.
