Uncle Barry and I were looking forward to seeing Fort Clinch State Park because we heard it was very popular and we wanted to know why. When we arrived we parked the car and headed for the gift shop. We looked around for a while and the went out to the fort. We did not actually go into the fort, even though it is free with admission. We did walk around it which was pretty cool.

While I was in the gift shop I heard there were shark teeth everywhere by the water so I suggested to Uncle Barry that we check it out. On our way to the water we drove through the campground. It was nice, clean and spacious. No wonder the sites are booked out a year in advance. We got to the water and looked around, briefly. I did not find any sharks teeth but then again I really did not know what I was looking for.

While we were over by the water we could see the Amelia Island Lighthouse from across the way which was pretty awesome. It was a nice, big park, and I feel like we only scratched the surface of it. We hung around a while and then made out way back to the car.

Before you visit, make sure you check out the parks website for all of the up-to-date park information: https://www.floridastateparks.org/fortclinch
